... until I have to hand in my thesis for the MA in Conflict Studies and Human Rights (Uni of Utrecht, NL) I'm currently finishing... It's gonna be some hard work the coming days, but I'll have it done on time. And then, one month of working fulltime, bartending, waiting (@ cafe Le Journal, Neude, Utrecht) until I leave.
I'm looking forward to going to Scotland together with my 'chillmattie' Just. The fact that we have everything arranged by now, including an apartment for the two of us on a brilliant location (5 minutes walking to uni, 10 to centre), takes away some of the tension.
I booked my flight. The 3rd of September I'll be leaving. My dad is joining me for the first couple of days, so I can take extra luggage and show my dad around. Soon after he leaves, Just will be arriving. Hopefully, his father will come by later that month by car, to take stuff we can't fit into suitcases, like our guitars, more clothing, etc.
The year in Scotland will probably consist of studying, going out, playing soccer (4 times a week), playing guitar (Just needs some lessons, although he has a better guitar than I do hahaha), drinking whisky, some occasional golf... Oh, and how can I forget... RAIN, LOTS OF RAIN...
Leaving will be strange though. So many people to say goodbye to (although Scotland is close), and very little time... We'll manage!

Heel leuk dat je een blog zal houden/schrijven/bloggen (help mijn Nederlands raakt achter op de moderne tijd)! Ik heb me wel eens verplicht gevoeld te discussie te openen over waar in het spanningsveld tussen exhibitionisme en zelfexpressie het bloggen thuishoort maar...argumenten en principes tegen het bijhouden van een world wide logboek delven het onderspit... heel leuk dat we je op afstand mogen blijven volgen komend jaar! xxx Eline
